Okay, it's time to exercise my god given right as a mom. It's time to break out the "because I said so." I am still miserable, nauseous all day, weepy, exhausted, you name it. So I decided it was time to sit down and have a little heart to heart with my second child.
So I sat down on the couch and proceeded to discuss things with my ever rounding abdomen. "Okay young lady, (I keep having little girl dreams so I'm assuming it's a girl - if I'm wrong, I'll apologize to him later)this is your mother. Now I need you to stop wiggling for a minute (and even though I can't feel her wiggling yet I saw her on the ultrasound jumping and wiggling like a little Mexican jumping bean) and listen to me. Your mommy has to be able to cook nutritious meals for you and your older brother to enjoy and to keep you healthy. She needs to be able to take care of your brother Alex without running to the potty to get sick. She also has a house and an apartment to keep up during the day. So this morning sickness thing? It's going to need to stop, and stop now."
Of course then (as I swore I heard tiny peals of laughter coming from my stomach area) I had another revalation, one which kept me from being able to use the time honored "Stop it because I SAID SO!" All this fun morning sickness isn't the baby's fault. It's mine.
That's right, it's all me. And can I tell you how frustrating it is to suddenly realize that? Yours truly is ultra sensitive to all sorts of things. Medications, mixing wine and shellfish, and apparently hormones as well. And I don't do anything halfway. It's total digestive meltdown or nothing for me. So I guess the only one I can use "Stop it because I SAID SO!" on is me. Damn, I hope I listen better than I handle extra hormones.

I am laughing at your post and feeling sorry for you at the same time... What about gingerale and crackers?
Since I am YOUR mother, I thought I would comment that I remember someone else (Alex's Mommy, Maybe) who had a little trouble with that "listening" thing, especially when I said "Because I Said So:)"
